Months of hard work have produced significant progress on the way for the development the 1.0 version dell’evTek Semantic Maps Viewer, a tool, also available in full screen version, which displays, in the form of graphical maps, organized sets of concepts (nodes) and associations (connections / links), composing networks, systems and subsystems of knowledge. Using jQuery javaScript framework, that we thank, was achieved the full compatibility with popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera). It remains to solve an incomprehensible incompatibility with some versions of Internet Explorer 8.

We also began to build the Evolutionary Knowledge Base, which collects the basic concepts of Evolutionary Knowledge, associations between the concepts, documents and multimedia resources, links to relevant concepts in Wikipedia, and so on. All these knowledge objects are organized and displayed using browsable semantic maps, which will allow a real exploration of the territories of Evolutionary Knowledge.

In the fall, we will begin the compilation of other knowledge bases for demo use (both in personal and corporate), by developing an application that easily allows you to map Wikipedia topics and pages or other knowledge web repositories and resources, and the development of a system for an integration, which will bring evTek Semantic Maps Viewer to be full compatibile with the most important frameworks of knowledge representation and processing (RDF and Topic Maps).

At this end of February starts the publication of a monthly report that I hope will be with us for a long time. “News from evKnowledge” will collect news, targeted efforts to build a path of original research, hopes and dreams of a passion that urges to express itself.

Since the inception of this blog, last fall, have been months of hard work, though silent. These days, the new evKnowledge.org website finally sees the light. A showcase for the presentation of numerous projects, some already well established, others only drafted, which begin to give substance to this field of research.

First, the PICO Knowledge Dynamics Project , which aims to develop an original evolutionary approach to Knowledge Management. A solid theoretical foundation, built on the fundamental principles which represent the pillars of Evolutionary Knowledge, a discipline that collects in a single large project Evolutionary Physics and Metaphysics, and a pragmatic approach to the analysis and management of knowledge systems, with interesting implications for enterprises.

And more, Semantic Maps, a project aimed at developing web tools for the construction, visualization and navigation of semantic maps. A visual access to complex knowledge bases, which will pave the way for the development of tools for the construction, more and more automated, of semantic maps from knowledge bases available on the web.

In a few weeks will be released online a beta version of evTek Semantic Map Viewer, a contribute to the creation and sharing of the ekb – Evolutionary Knowledge Base, which will collect, in a systematic manner, all the material published up to now within the Evolutionary Knowledge Project.

More news soon.
Good exploration.
