The human eye, assisted by technology, is going deeper and deeper into the cosmos. New items, new phenomena, strange and unexpected, submit laboriously constructed theories to severe tests, theories that are yearning first to become laws, then inviolable dogmas, to win an eternity that seems to characterize the same object of research, the Universe, which lies majestic and silent before our eyes.

Galaxies more distant and more unlikely, in their adult structures, in a world that wants them as children, babies, to spatial and temporal distances that we would like to be placed just behind the creation.

Deeper we get, the more the cosmos seems strange, stranger than we see our look at the Universe, through the thick lenses of telescopes and big antennas that collect radiation distorted by a huge journey, through our eyes, wandering into the night looking for confirmations, through our minds, that process and transform perceptions, measurements, in search of certainty, of evidence, which can give a little respite to the relentless pursuit of Knowledge.

Everything changes and evolves, the Universe and together our Knowledge, while we create gods in our own image and likeness, and descriptions of Reality that somehow affirm our mortal nature. Even in the infinite and its mysterious structures we seek birth and death, that bind us and at the same time exalt our own short life. We seek the first cries of a baby universe, and imagine the last gasps of the dying universe. Then, to leave room for hope, as the desired life after death, we imagine cyclic, nested universes, continuous starts, and endless transformations.

Through the eyes of the mind and the hope we see, imagine, fanciful dynamics, at the same time mythical and mystical, esoteric cosmologies, that we dress of multidimensional mathematics, distillates of minds accustomed to the abstract thought. How is difficult to see the white glow of a bare wall, to give up to the evidence of the nothing that swarms of chaotic life from which the white ripples that illuminate the cosmos spring, from whose seething foam stars, galaxies, immense swirling clusters, intelligent little creatures, penetrating radiation, emerge, in an explosion of infinite variety.

A universe without time, without beginning and without end, which severely challenge our ability to rational understanding, boundless space, eternal and unlimited, a single continuous flow that comes out of nothing, manifestation of a Force that, inviolable mystery, everything creates and incessantly re-creates, and everything forms and incessantly transforms.
