The Formation of Reality is the unitary Process through which Reality incessantly takes form and the Universe in Evolution manifests itself.

Scheme of the Process of Formation of Physical Reality

The Process of Formation of Reality (PFR) is the unitary Process through which the fundamental Entity—the Primary Source of Reality—in its two complementary and indivisible aspects, the Fundamental Force (the fundamental causal Agent) and the Elementary Field (the elementary Acted), interact with each other: the first incessantly acting upon the second, the second incessantly re-acting to the Action of the first. Through this interaction, they generate the Elementary Events and Elementary Action that represents their uneven distribution—the most elementary form of Existence. Furthermore, through the formation and organization of Relations among Events, the Source enables Information to emerge and evolve into Structures and Forms—the Forms that populate Reality and the evolving Universe.

This is the main Process through which Reality takes form. It includes everything: all fundamental and derived Entities, all functional Operators of Reality that cooperate and compete in the Creation and Evolution of Reality, all Elementary Events and Complex Events, all Relations among Entities and Events, and all physical and cognitive Information, Structures, and Forms that compose the evolving Universe. All other Processes that participate in the Formation of Reality—whether physical or cognitive—are to be considered Derived Processes, specific articulations of the more general Process of Formation of Reality.

The Process, though unitary, can—purely for descriptive purposes—be:

Process that produces the Existence and the Essence / Form of Reality, the manifestations of the Primary Source, the Universe in Evolution. This Process—where the Force incessantly transmutes the Field into Forms—represents, on one hand, the totality of the work performed by the Operators of Reality, the causal Agents / Forces responsible for its continuous construction; and on the other hand, the cognitive model that allows us to understand its functions and reciprocal interactions—a scheme, a glyph that graphically represents the Process.

The Process of Formation of Reality is the main process, the backbone of Reality. It is the essence of Evolutionary Dynamics.

In the context of Evolutionary Physics, "Formation" refers to the entire Process through which the Primary Source—the Fundamental Force, the fundamental causal Entity—and the Elementary Field, the elementary variational Entity, give rise to the Forms and the Universe as a whole. The combined action of the fundamental operational Agents—representing the functional root of the laws of Nature—generates an incessant causal flow: a synthesis of creative and evolutionary expressions from which the organized multiplicity of material and immaterial Forms that populate the world emerges.

The interactions of the Operative Agents—active at various levels of the Process—find their full and elegant articulation within this conceptual framework, a modern glyph that evokes the memorable peaks of traditional knowledge.

In particular, the structure of reality proposed by the classics of Taoism—one of the central pillars of Chinese philosophy—where the Tao (the Way, the Path, the Principle, understood as the "natural flow of the universe") embodies both the functionality and the deepest meaning of what we refer to here as the Process of Reality Formation. The Tao—beyond the entire Process—can be seen as the representation of its deepest and most primordial dynamic essence: the Source in its first, still internal, unmanifest differentiation, where the Force acts upon the Field, producing Action—Elemental Action—the first manifest differentiation, the most elementary form of Existence, as we have seen.

Furthermore, in many respects, the structure of this scheme overlaps with that found in the Tree of Life—the distilled cosmogony of Kabbalistic mysticism. The Tree, in its entirety, can be interpreted as a representation of the creative process that activates, in both macrocosm and microcosm, energies and generative powers known as sefirot: energy centers or numerations, emanations, and attributes of the Creator Himself. The scheme of the Formative Process recalls the Tree of Life, and the Reality Operators mirror the sefirot in the ongoing construction of Reality—as emanation and manifestation of the Primary Source of Reality—operational Agents who ceaselessly enact the formative work across the various levels of Reality and Complexity.

In the next chapter, we will examine the Process of Formation, focusing on the physical domain of Reality.
