Agency is the fundamental Property of the Sources. All that exists arises from the expression of Agency by Sources—in particular by the Primary Source, which incessantly creates the most elementary form of Existence, and by all the Derived Sources that produce the myriad Forms populating the Universe.

Agency is the capacity to produce Action—the capacity of the Sources to act, to express Action, to generate Events, to create Existence. In other terms, it is the capacity of causes to produce effects. Events are understood as any variation within or of a Source (of its passive aspect, Acted / Field). "Action of Agents on Acted produces Events"—that is, the interaction of Forces and Fields generates Variations.

Agency: Agent ~ Acted => Action. Sources manifest Agency through the internal interaction between their two inseparable, unitary aspects: Agents / Forces and Acted / Fields:

  • Agents (Forces), as previously described, are the active sides of the Sources,
  • Acted (Fields), their passive sides,
  • Action (inhomogeneities in the distributions of Events) is the product of the internal interaction between Agents and Acted—the application of Forces upon Fields that produces Events. This is the manifestation of Sources, the principal expression of Agency.

Like Sources, Agency consists of two complementary aspects and can be observed through two distinct perspectives—the Dimensionalities of Reality:

  • Causality, the active aspect, expressed by Agents / Forces,
  • Variationality (Spatiality and Temporality), the passive aspect, expressed by Acted / Fields.

It is no coincidence that the physical quantity I call Action has the dimensions of Force x Space x Time—a product of the fundamental dimensionalities of Reality:

  • Causality (Force),
  • Variationality (Spatiality / Space, Temporality / Time).
