Operational Agents, or Agents of Reality, are the fundamental causal Entities that give life to Reality. They are "centers of causal Action" that generate and empower the Creation and the Evolution of Reality.

Each Operator and each Entity involved in the Process of Formation of Reality (PFR), each Structure, each existing Form, from the Elementary Field to the Universe in its entirety, is an Agent, a center of causal Action. Reality is therefore an interconnected network of Agents in incessant evolutionary and co-constructive interaction, Agents that express themselves across all dimensional and Complexity levels.

The Fundamental Force, the primary causal Operator of Reality, manifests itself in various functional forms within the PFR. It has two modes of manifestation: the Existence Operator (EX) and the Relation Operator (REL), which, for the functions carried out within the Process of Formation and by analogy with Quantum Mechanics, can also be called the Creation Operator and the Evolution Operator respectively. The Derived Agents, or more precisely the Derived Operators, are manifestations of the Fundamental Operator that perform specific functions in the PFR, and are therefore derived from the Existence Operator and the Relation Operator.

The Existence Operator (EX) causes the Creation of Reality in its most elementary form—the most basic form of Existence—Elementary Events, the tiny spatial fluctuations resonating around Planck scale, whose inhomogeneities in their temporal distributions, and distributions in spatial orientation, torsion chirality, and torsion axis orientation represent the Elementary Action.

The Relation Operator (REL) causes the Evolution of Reality in its more complex, derived aspects, through complex Events that form complex Action, emerging from the organization of Elementary Events into increasingly intricate networks of Relations.

As further confirmation that the Creation and Evolution Operators are two aspects of the same Agent of Reality, the Fundamental Force, we can say that the Existence Operator is the expression of a more general "Relation Operator", manifesting itself by causing Creation at the most elementary level of Reality. Conversely, the Relation Operator is a more complex expression of the "Existence Operator", manifesting itself by causing Evolution at progressively higher levels of Reality. Specular manifestations span the scale from the elementary to the complex—different expressions of a unique Source of Agency, creativity and receptivity, force and resistance, activity and passivity.

The Derived Operators are, at the same time, Agents that play specific roles in the PFR and Entities that embody the Force within Reality. They are Entities—building blocks in the construction of the evolving Universe. Thus, we can speak of Events, Relations and Processes, produced by Entities as Derived Forces.

The declination of the Process of Formation of Reality across the different domains of Nature produces two specific versions: the Process of Formation of Physical Reality and the Process of Formation of Cognitive Reality. Let us focus here in particular on the Process related to Physical Reality (PFPR).

In the PFR we can identify different and complementary aspects of Reality, corresponding to the three vertical sections, or columns, of the PFR scheme:

  • dynamic aspects: all the Events, Entities and Derived Forces that spread and transport Action in the Field, realizing the quality we call "divergence". In the Process of Formation of Physical Reality (PFPR), these aspects are embodied by the Operators: Translation, Organization, Waves. They represent the active side of Reality, or the active powers of Nature;
  • conservative aspects: all the Events, Entities and Derived Forces that centralize and conserve Action in the Field, realizing the quality we call "curl/rotor". In the PFPR these aspects are embodied by the Operators: Rotation, Transformation, Vortices. They represent the passive side of Reality, or the passive powers of Nature;
  • equilibrium aspects: all the Events, Entities and Derived Forces that, by composing the dynamic and conservative aspects, realize differentiation and relation—the quality we call "gradient". In the PFPR these aspects are embodied by the Operators: Perturbation, Selection, Interactions, Forms

We can classify the above Operators, the PFPR Derived Agents, with respect to two main factors: Complexity (the nested levels that characterize Reality) and ways of expression of the Force (equilibrium, dynamicity, conservation):

  • Level of Elementary Action
    • Perturbation (equilibrium aspect - gradient)
    • Translation (dynamic aspect - divergence)
    • Rotation (conservative aspect - curl/rotor)
  • Level of Information
    • Organization (dynamic aspect - anabolic, constructive Processes)
    • Transformation (conservative aspect - catabolic, destructive, transformative Processes)
    • Selection (equilibrium aspect - the relational Processes that lead to causal permanence)
  • Level of the Structures of Information
    • Waves (dynamic aspect - the root of Radiation)
    • Vortices (conservative aspect - the root of Matter)
    • Interactions (equilibrium aspect - the root of the dynamics of Matter and Radiation)
  • Level of the Forms / Universe
    • Forms (equilibrium aspect - the key of the development of the objects of Reality, the Universe in Evolution)

These operators, in infinite combinations, accomplish all the formative (creative and evolutionary) work in the PFR (both in the PFPR and in the PFMR—the process of formation of Metareality, or Cognitive Reality). The Action of the Operators on the Field produces, constructs, and drives the Universe to evolve in an infinite Process of structuration that leads to an incessant rise in Complexity.
