Evolutionary Ontology is the part of Evolutionary Knowledge that studies "what exists" (the Existence and the Entities that constitute what exists, the Sources and their sub-Entities that, interacting, generate the Events, the Existence of Reality itself, the Derived Sources, the Forms, the things—the objects that populate the Universe—and the sub-processes of Creation and Evolution themselves). It describes the Entities that compose Reality—everything that exists as part of Universal Reality—Action, Information, in terms of the organization of Events by Relations, Action in its different Modes, Structures of Information resulting from the organization of Information, Forms, the entire Universe, "Everything in Evolution".
For descriptive purposes only, Evolutionary Ontology can be viewed as articulated into:
Onto (from ancient Greek, meaning "being") refers to the existential aspects of Reality. Ontology studies concepts related to being—such as existence, becoming, reality—and the fundamental categories of being and their interrelations.
Existence is an essential property characterizing the fundamental entity—the Primary Source—in its two aspects: active and passive, respectively the Fundamental Force and the Elementary Field, and the product of their interaction—the Elementary Events, the Elementary Action. In short, we can say that only Events truly exist. Everything else exists because Events happen.
Ultimately, we can say that Reality is composed of:
- Entities: Sources (Agents / Forces and Acted / Fields as dual aspects of a unified Reality9,
- Events: expressions of the interactions between the dual aspects of Entities—variations of their dynamics,
- Relations: the connections/correlations among Events,
- Processes: Entities interacting to produce Events, with Relations among Events constituting the Processes that construct Reality.
Processes, in turn, evolve into new—ever more complex—(Derived) Sources, which generate new Events, Relations, and Processes, in a nested, creative, and evolutive structure that perpetually unfolds.
