The Approach to Publication
This is essentially a draft prepared to establish a reference point in a research project that has been ongoing for many years.
The conceptual framework is in continuous development, and many sections will be subject to further revisions.
For this reason, I have chosen to publish this first version, to be followed by short partial update papers that will present the sections to be added, expanded, and revised. Periodically, a new complete version of this work will be released, consolidating the material reported in the partial updates published between two full editions.
This approach is intended to ensure the necessary timeliness of updates, corrections, and adjustments, to account for the modifications progressively introduced, and at the same time to avoid overwhelming interested readers with an excessive number of lengthy complete editions.
This version
This first version gathers much of the material I have produced over thirty years of research within the scope of this project.
It is the result of a major effort of revision, integration, and development spanning approximately twelve years. Yet a great deal of work remains to be done—simplifying, eliminating redundancies and unnecessary repetitions. And naturally, further development and expansion of topics that have only been touched upon and require in-depth investigation, which I hope may be carried out in the coming years in collaboration with researchers more qualified than myself in the relevant fields. In the meantime, I hope to receive feedback and suggestions that may help improve this work.
I hope that any errors and inaccuracies—of which I am solely responsible—will be forgiven. I am fully aware that my preparation does not match the magnitude of the task I have undertaken. Not having a solid academic background in physics and cosmology is certainly a limitation that has affected the quality of the material produced. But I hope that the enthusiasm and passion that drive me shine through the pages of this work, and that the proposals, hypotheses, and vision I have expressed here may offer a meaningful contribution to research—especially in times like these, when a conceptual leap seems necessary, a new openness to overcome a certain impasse in advancing our understanding of the foundations of Physical Reality and the origin and evolution of the Universe.
Next version
In the upcoming version currently in preparation, I plan to introduce several expansions and improvements:
- a complete revision of Chapters 9, and 10—large and significant sections, written most recently and therefore already extensively updated to reflect the current state of research, but which still require further refinement
- a revision of images and tables to enhance clarity and readability
- a reduction of repeated phrases and concepts that tend to weigh down the text
Utilization of AI
All contents of this work have been personally produced by the author. No original concept presented herein has been generated by AI. AI tools (various LLM‑based services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) have been used exclusively:
- to gather information on specific subjects in physics and cosmology for use in theoretical research,
- to execute an editorial revision aimed at improving the quality of the English exposition, grammar, and style, since the author is not a native English speaker,
- to provide assistance in the creation of illustrations (both as support within productivity applications and for the development of the code used in their realization).
The author supplied input and instructions, and the generated text was subsequently revised, modified, and validated for accuracy and originality by the human author, who assumes full responsibility for the final content.
Origin of this Research
As will be described more fully and extensively in the "About this work" section of the concluding chapter, the research that led to this essay began more than half a century ago. It arose from my curiosity to understand how the world works, and from a deep dissatisfaction with the fragmented and often scarcely plausible answers that science—especially physics and cosmology—has been able to provide. It was nourished by a broader investigation into Systems of Knowledge, particularly traditional and ancient ones, which often conceal in poetic and metaphorical texts the results of profound philosophical and (pseudo)scientific reflections on the structure and dynamics of Reality, both from a physical and a cognitive perspective.
The progressive crisis in scientific research on the foundations of Reality further spurred me to give form to, and to disseminate, the vision I have built over the decades—one that in recent years has taken shape in increasingly defined and articulated models: the construction of a genuinely new System of Knowledge, which I have called the "Evolutionary Knowledge System", due to the central role that Evolution, in my view, must also play in the study and description of Physical Reality.
Since 2013, in an effort to gather and organize all the material I had previously developed, I began writing this essay, conceived as the manifesto of an alternative vision of Physical Reality—both in the micro and macro cosmos—its origin, its development, and its functioning. It is an organized collection of proposals and hypotheses that I hope may help inspire further steps toward a deeper and broader understanding of the physical world. A gaze toward the future of scientific research, with an attentive regard for the rich past of traditional knowledge.
