Spatiality and Space, as specifications of the overarching concepts of Variationality and Variation, are foundational aspects of Reality, passive expressions of the Agency of the Source of Reality. Beside Temporality and Time, they are, respectively, the Dimensionality and the Dimension associated with the Elementary Field.
Spatiality
Spatiality is an aspect of Variationality, one of the two fundamental Dimensionalities of Reality, a fundamental emerging Property of Reality—the foundation of the spatial dimension, of Space—a Phenomenon produced by the Dynamics of the Primary Source and The inner interaction between the Fundamental Force and Elementary Field.
It pertains to the fact and the manner in which variations in the distributions of Events—changes, inhomogeneities, effects, Action—are produced within the Acted / Fields, within what we call Space-time, under the operative influence of Agents / Forces / Causes, both at the elementary level of Reality, where the Fundamental Force and the Elementary Field interact to generate Elementary Events, and, more broadly, at higher levels of Complexity, where Derived Agents / Forces act upon Derived Acted / Fields to produce complex Events—Derived Action.
Spatiality, as an aspect of Variationality, can be considered a fundamental expression of Agency on its passive side, alongside Temporality—a core manifestation of the variational principle/property of the Field(s), closely related to the Operator of Reality known as Translation, itself an expression of the broader operator Propagation.
In a relational approach to the study of Nature, Spatiality—as an aspect of Variationality—is a Property emerging from the relation between the two fundamental aspects of the Source, and more generally, of all Sources: between Force(s) and Field(s), from the interaction between the Action of Forces and the effects they produce within Fields. Hence, Spatiality—like the other fundamental Dimensionalities—must be understood as a relational Property with reference to Events. In this sense, we may say that Space does not exist—it happens. It is a phenomenon, a product of the dynamics of the inner interaction between the two aspects of the Source of Reality.
Space
Space, as the expression of the fundamental emerging property of Reality that we call Spatiality, is any direct effect on Acted / Fields, in the context of Agency of the Source, where the action of Agents / Forces produces Events, variations in the Acted / Fields, the "effects" in short, in the inner interactions between the two complementary aspects of the Sources.
Space is not an entity, as commonly stated. It does not exist—it happens. It is a phenomenon.
Continuity
It is continuous, in the sense that it is not discrete—it is not made up of imaginary grains of Space. The path toward integrating Relativity and Quantum theory cannot rely on the discretization of Space. However, if by quantization we mean treating Space as a quantum magnitude that, precisely within continuity, exhibits uncertainty and bizarre quantum behaviors—then we can talk about it.
Curvature and curvability
Space extends from the infinitely small—the perturbations of the Elementary Field at the Planck scale, which constitute the most elementary form of Existence, from which the spatial dimension incessantly emerges as a result of the Elementary Action of the Fundamental Force—to the infinitely large: the extension of the entire infinite and unlimited Universe in Evolution, which contains all the existing Forms.
As we will better understand when addressing the Fundamental Physical Quantity we call Metric and the associated metric phenomena, Space—in its entirety, as a Derived Field—is both curved and flat. It may seem contradictory, but within the framework of this System of Knowledge, of Evolutionary Physics, this is a key aspect that can help us grasp non-trivial natural phenomena and characteristics of Physical Reality that are, as of today, not well understood.
At smaller scales, around the Planck scale (a few orders of magnitude above it, yet still far smaller than the scale of Ordinary Matter Particles), Space is curved. It is a bubbling of spatial fluctuations, precisely where distances fluctuate in uncertainty and indeterminacy, around a universal average value—affected by the average intensity expressed by the Fundamental Force and the average resistance to deformation expressed by the Elementary Field. These elementary spatial fluctuations, and the inhomogeneities in their temporal distributions, constitute the fundamental substance from which the world is made—beyond Matter (Dark and Ordinary), Waves, and Particles / Halos, etc.
At larger scales (though still smaller than those of Ordinary Matter Particles), we observe a gradual transition between curvature and flatness of Space, which—at increasingly larger dimensions—appears progressively flatter, reaching absolute flatness at the scale of Particles and at broader spatial extensions.
According to this hypothesis of mine, Space–Time is not curved due to the curvature—or rather the curvability—of both Space and Time, but is curved / curvable exclusively due to the curvability of Time. From this hypothesis derive the nature of Metric and Mass, the "non-constancy of the speed of light in vacuum", and many other natural phenomena which, in my view, must be reconsidered and given a (different) explanation.
Thus, at the smaller scales, in each point of the continuous Elementary Field, spatial extensions, spatial distances between Events, depend on, are function of the uncertain and everchanging density of the distributions of the Elementary Events, the tiny fluctuations of the dynamics of the Elementary Field. But at larger extensions, till the cosmological scales, to the infinite, Space is completely, absolutely, flat. Thus, at smaller scales, down toward the Planck scale and into even smaller realms, at each point within the continuous Elementary Field, spatial extensions—spatial distances between Events—depend on, and are a function of, the uncertain and everchanging density of the distributions of Elementary Events: precisely the minute fluctuations arising from the dynamics of the Elementary Field.
But at larger extensions—up to cosmological scales and beyond, toward the infinite—Space is completely, absolutely flat.
